Ardent Concepts has announced the availability of several new tighter pitch versions of the patented TR™ ganged multicoax cable connectors for high speed digital and RF test and measurement. TR™ from Ardent Concepts is a compression mount (solderless) cable connector assembly designed to provide the lowest loss interface between multiple lanes of high speed integrated circuits and instrumentation.
“Our customers are incorporating more and more I/O channels in their chip designs,” says Steve Cleveland, Vice President of Business Development. “Moving to tighter cable to cable pitch was the logical next move to maximize the channel density of the connector series, allowing the customer access to more channels from one connector. TR technology was initially designed at 1.27mm pitch, and density is a strong competitive advantage of our coaxial RC SP interface technology. It is important that we leverage that advantage to help our customers pack more features into the same real-estate.”
New TR™ connector assemblies are now available in X8, X12, X16 and X24 ganged configurations. All configurations are offered with 40 GHz+ 2.92mm K or 60 GHz+ 1.85mm V cable connectors on cable lengths from 6″ to 36″ with cable to cable phase matching to +/- 2 ps. Custom versions are available.
